Yesterday was my sister's 40th birthday party. I had a do-not-miss meeting at work, so I couldn't work from home, so I went in to Boston for a grand total of 4 hours. I spent as much time commuting as I did at work.

When I got home, I immediately jumped in the shower and then took off for Maine on the bike. It was a lovely ride -- some much needed shut-my-brain-off-and-ride time. The party was nice, and I went back to my sister's house afterwards, where I got to talking, as you do. Next thing I know, it's midnight and lovely for sleeping, but COLD for riding. Made it home okay, but man, those last twenty or thirty miles were rough. I ended up sleeping in a long-sleeved t-shirt, I was so cold.

Today I headed down to Fall River, to pick up my pants at Vanson. Last time, if you recall, they were too short. This time they were about the right length, but somehow the legs were tighter, to the point where I couldn't bend my legs. The solution is pretty easy; they're putting a gusset in the inseam. They're also shipping them to me so I don't have to drive down there AGAIN, and if they're still wrong, they'll send me a shipping label so I can send them back free of charge. If I didn't like the guy in charge of repairs so much, I'd have asked for my money back by now. But he's trying so hard to get them right... ack.

Tomorrow I'm going to clean my chain and make sure it doesn't need adjustment, and then I'm headed out to a little furmeet in Tyngsboro, and then off to Nashua to check out a tattoo shop; I'm kind of itching for some new ink. Another mileage day... hopefully it'll be useful.
