i can't believe it's not yogurt
I bought this stuff at Whole Foods last night called skyr. I thought it was yogurt, but according to the Wikipedia entry and the inside of the label, it's actually a form of fresh cheese. It's an interesting flavor (I bought the vanilla variety): very VERY tart with an odd, but not unpleasant aftertaste.

The nutritionals on it are amazing: no fat, 4 mg of cholesterol, 20g of carbohydrate, and 17g of protein. 6 ounces had 150 calories. Allegedly it will keep without refrigeration. Next time, I'm going to add some honey. I even found a recipe. Maybe I'll try it some day.

i feel: curious curious
