i rode today
I only went a couple of miles, but it was Good. It was as much a shakedown for my gear as anything, because everything I wore, I'd never worn on my bike before: my new GMax helmet*, my new Cortech leather jacket**, and my Firstgear winter gloves. I love these gloves. I've worn them on many non-motorcycle-related occasions, and they have always kept my digits toasty warm. Today they did just as well. I also put the tinted visor on my helmet -- ZOMG, much love! I think I'm going to enjoy this.

It was a short ride, mostly because I couldn't find my Buffs, and my chin was freezing cold. I can take cold just about anywhere else, but for some reason, if the underside of my chin gets cold on the bike, I'm just miserable. But even with that, I was pleased -- I haven't lost my skillz. Cagers are still dumb, though. I was turning left, and this dumb bitch in a truck started rolling to cross the intersection before I'd finished passing in front of her. I wasn't worried that she'd hit me, but she couldn't wait three seconds for me to finish crossing the lane? Dumb bitch.

Whatever. My bike is back on the road, and I can ride regularly, as soon as the weather warms up ten to fifteen degrees. Life is good.

*(which I think will have awesome venting for the summer -- I had to shut them down today)
**(which needs a bit of breaking in, and which shares the same fault as most of my jackets, in that it presses uncomfortably on my throat, but which is really a failing on the part of my very short neck, and not so much the jacket)

yeeeeah!

cagers are even worse this time of year, because the bikers aren't out in full-force yet.

stay warm, and keep the shiny side up. :)

I've been out a few times already, lol.

But now I can 'legally' go out on the SV. hehe.
