Don't forget the unicorn next time!!

Nobody told
me
to bring the unicorn -- that was hascouf's job.

That was the problem last time.

You need to bring TWO unicorns -- and make sure they're a matched set!
tashabear From: tashabear Date: September 7th, 2008 02:30 am (UTC) (base camp)
Nono... matched sets aren't breeding pairs!
hugh_mannity From: hugh_mannity Date: September 7th, 2008 03:02 am (UTC) (base camp)
Ah, the difference between English and American.

A "complete set" or a "full set" then.

heh.

Save the whales! Collect the whole set!

When Fay came through south Georgia, daddy called.

"Noah Travel Agency. I'm sorry, we only have double rooms available."

I thought he was going to roll on the floor! I got 6-7" of rain.

Pleh. Do not want.

It's just... I spent most of last week being rained on. I'm DONE for a while.

At least now I don't have to ride a motorcycle in this crap. I was feeling very "Ewan and Charlie in France" for a while there.

nods. It's storming now (but not from any Tropical Disturbance) even as we speak.

I imaging riding in this weather would just suck bilgewater!
tashabear From: tashabear Date: September 7th, 2008 04:01 am (UTC) (base camp)
It wasn't hard, but it was constant and cold and the highway was just BORING.
florentinescot From: florentinescot Date: September 7th, 2008 03:05 pm (UTC) (base camp)
nods. I can so see that.

Out of curiousity, have you ever ridden the Dragon (US 129 in NC?)
ciorstan From: ciorstan Date: September 7th, 2008 06:51 am (UTC) (base camp)
Argh-- I've NEVER seen a map light up like that! We just get greens... but not since last March.

I'll shut up now.

I got green light about half an hour ago -- big flash, big bang, no power. I called Wolfie on my cell to ask him to call the electric company (he's at work and could find the number), and it came back on while we were talking.

Scared the CRAP out of me, though.

The storm system has moved up the coast now -- it'll be clear by morning, though other stuff might crop up.
