There were 2 commercials recorded before his death that his family gave permission to the networks to use. In the meantime, it seems that his company is looking for a spokesperson to replace him after the contract on those 2 commercials runs its course.

I just hope they don't pick Vince from ShamWow.
Extra creepy with a side order of creepy, and Vince and Billy were not bestest buddies as competitors.

I don't think Anthony Sullivan likes him either, and there's that pesky "beats up girls" stigma.

There's also an article about him in this month's Playboy.

It doesn't bother me. He had a large "body of work", and it's going to take a while to get through all of it.

Kinda screwed Discovery Channel over, though. It should be interesting to see how Original Productions handles the search for replacement. ("Pitchmen for Pitchmen", perhaps?)

'tribute'

A comic strip I read, Secret Asian Man, has a tribute to Billy Mays. Charlie, one of the characters in the strip, had briefly made it big with a popular invention (paper lunch bags that you could also use as a napkin) and Billy Mays had helped him with selling it. Then the evil lawyer took everything (not connected to Mays). Anyway, here's a perhaps amusing take on Mays and pitchmen.

Should be July 13 through 16, read from the bottom up.
