We've gotten about 24" in the last 48 hours. I'm so glad I didn't have to go to work this weekend. Wolfie and I shoveled our 20' driveway with NO help from our neighbors, thank you very much, despite the fact that the property line runs right down the fucking middle of it. Next storm, I start knocking on doors.

I took the opportunity to color my hair yesterday. It turned out... less than optimal. When the box says "not for use on grey hair," they mean it. The hair on the crown of my head is quite grey, and the bright copper color that I chose gave my dark hair a lovely reddish sheen, and the grey hair is now quite gingery. I didn't have quite enough to cover all my hair either (that happens when your hair is waist length), so it's a bit blotchy. I wouldn't care if it wasn't so bright, but you can really see the spots I missed. So one of the goals for getting shoveled out was so I could go get more hair color and overdye it to something more tame. That, and an intensive conditioning treatment, because this is SO not good for my hair. And cake, from the grocery store. We worked bloody hard today. I wanted cake.

I'm tired, and I still have a ton of knitting to do, and I just want to curl up in front of the TV and veg, but I can't. Bleah.

i feel: tired tired

The henna-y stuff I put on my hair tends to make the grey bits quite zingy, too. When I get much greyer I am going to have to re-consider.

Mmm, cake. Hmm. Perhaps I should bake brownies. We have no snow, just lots of rain, which isn't nearly so pretty but is also quite a bit less work.

I'm pouting that we were too sick to want to inflict our presence on any friends while we were eastward, I'd have liked to meet you. But we do go out that way at least once a year so there will be more chances!

No worries. My boss forgot to pay us, so I didn't have any $$ anyway.

Let me know when you're back out our way!

Fun, wasn't it? I think we had some spots up to 3' here. Between the two houses, the dogs playing escape artist, et. al., I've now had my fill of winter. My kingdom for a masseuse.
