getting there!

getting there!, originally uploaded by Tashabear.

This is halfway down the stairs. This is the farthest she's come down since August, when I shut Bob in a room so she could come downstairs to eat and drink and use the box. Shortly thereafter I got her her own food and water and box upstairs.

Small steps. Maybe I'll try to entice her with the laser pointer tomorrow.

Dogs do that?

BTW, that kid we met at Spaz's party made suicidal gestures and is not currently allowed to carry a weapon in the Army. Also, from what I heard, he has used and sold drugs. Not someone you want to recommend as an auxiliary cop.

Yuppers... My deaf dalmatian goes completely bonkers over lasers and tightly focused flash lights.

Thanks for the heads up Capt, I'd like to hope the background check would reveal any information like that.

Stay Safe

can you send me some info on that motorcycle escort that you needed help with?

He's never been busted for drugs; not sure if the suicidal gestures & the removal of his ability to carry would show up. If they don't, might give you another avenue of approach. The more I talked to him the more I realized he's a punk with authority issues. Not someone I would want working for/with me.

I'll see if we still need riders!

ETA: My team chief is fast on the draw -- the Boston crew is full up. If you sign up right after the walk this year, there's a better chance you'll get on next year's crew. Moto is pretty popular; because we're specialized. we fill up fast, and they never give us enough slots to really man the route.

hmm ok... when is the walk?
tashabear From: tashabear Date: February 16th, 2012 04:17 am (UTC) (base camp)
This year is May 19-20. Keep an eye on the webpage (http://www.avonwalk.org/boston/) for when they start accepting new crew apps.
