baby gansey update 3
I'm now past the plain area, working in pattern and doing the gusset increases. At this rate I'll have the sweater done next week. Thank goodness the chart is so stupid-simple; it was easy to memorize. I'm really enjoying the process -- I'll have to get some gansey yarn and make one for me.

Innit kyoot?
The color's off, but you get the idea.

Knitting Ganseys, by Beth Brown-Reinsel. I believe that the pattern alone is available from her website, http://www.knittingtraditions.com -- wait, she says that she's no longer selling retail... you might be able to order it through your LYS, though.

The book is well-worth the price I paid for it, IMO. There are a lot of great tips on technique and some interesting historical tidbits and photos.

I doubt I'd be able to order it from my LYS, not the most helpful crowd there.

But the library has two copies! On my way there after work! Thanks.

Don't forget to post a picture when it's done, k?
