I fucking HATE hot weather. I think that 80 degree weather is horrid, I don't enjoy it, I don't want to be out in it, and I hate having to pretend that I like it just so I don't burst the bubbles of so many people who obviously love it.

But I can't stand it. I think it's a curse. It's awful, I want it to stop, I want winter back where I can bundle up and snuggle with Wolfie and know how to make myself feel better, because right now I'm wearing nothing but a t-shirt and I'm amazingly uncomfortable AND THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT. No air conditioning in my bedroom -- there are no windows in which it will fit... though I might have Wolfie stick on in my workroom. If we only use it at night, we can stick an air mattress in there and sleep in comfort. Or I can, anyway. Wolfie doesn't mind sleeping in this sticky hot slop I laughingly call air.

Yes, it is in fact hot enough for me. It was hot enough 15 degrees ago. I want it to be 65 degrees and dry. This 80 and humid shit is just WRONG.

(I'll get over the cranky. I'm going to go have a shower. But it's not making me any more ambitious about doing wedding shit when I can't even breathe and my ankles are all fucking swollen.)

i feel: cranky cranky

the humidity is def. ick. And it's a bit too warm for me, too. I'm rethinking the whole "summer in DC" thing. *sigh* ick hot.

Humid??? Where are you??? The beach? :)

The dewpoints across MA today were in the low 40's. Pleasantly, but not too dry warm weather. This reminds me alot of the perfect days in California I miss so much!

I was in my computer room, and the heat made my feet and ankles swell. If it's hot here, it's humid.

A perfect day is misty in the morning, 60-68 degrees, with a slight breeze. Anything about 72 is Right Out. I think there are two or three perfect days a year.

Also remember I live a lot closer to water than you do, with canals on either side of me, and a reservoir at the top of the hill above me, plus I'm closer to the ocean.

This is why I live in Seattle.

If I wasn't such a dweeb about being that far away from my mom... However, if we move, I have told Wolfie I want to move to Portland, Maine. I'd be that much closer to Halcyon Yarn! (I got the equipment catalog in the mail today. I had to go lock myself in the bathroom with it for a while...)

Moms are good to be near. I am very happy mine moved to be 15 minutes away instead of the 800 mile door-to-door drive it's been for the last decade (though even that was better than when I was in Chicago and she was in California).

80 and humid? In April? Is this normal?

Not really. To make matters worse, the Boston Marathon was yesterday. 80 degree weather is hell on runners. There's a father who pushes his severelt handicapped son in a special wheelchair every year, and they ended up having to stop at a first aid station. Lots of heat exhaustion and I hear there may have been a heart attack. Kinda puts my little temper tantrum into perspective.
