at least i wasn't using the serger.
First mistake made in this dress, and it was only the second seam. I sewed it together backwards.

At least I wasn't using the serger. Seam ripper to the rescue!

It's not a hand made dress until you sew a seam, especially a long one, backwards.

And then when you've sewn two seams, one arm and a gore backwards it's just annoying, but it fits the hand-made qualification stated above.

I sewed the same leg of a pair of pants inside out four times. On a serger. It was just ugly.

that reminds me of mom and i working on my dress.

one of us: Oh, shit!
the other: Don't bleed on the silk!!

I can't count how many times we had to do that :)

Hee! (Your own spit will get out your own blood. Some enzyme action going on -- but if you spit on someone else's blood, it won't work. Your icky fact for the day.)
