who are you?
I've been playing with the "edit friends" button on Semagic, and I don't think I ever realized how many people have friended me without my friending them back. If you fit one of these categories, I probably haven't friended you because I don't know who you are or why you friended me. Or I'm just lazy (nothing personal).

So... Because I am generally friendly and more than unusually bored, a topic: Who are you people and what are you doing here? :-D

i feel: curious curious

Hi! I'm Monica, aka Illadore in the SCA. I'm a newbie knitter (been doing it for about 5 months now and I'm obessessed) and I'm a fencer. I added you because you're on knitting and have really nifty posts and are also in the SCA.

I've been enjoying reading your stuff, I hope you don't mind me adding you.

Not at all! Welcome to the party; hope I don't bore you too much. :-)

Hmmm.... I'm here just because, and if you don't know who I am, well then :-P

STALKER! STALKER!! *jumps up and down, pointing at the bushes*

Oh. It's you.

Never mind.

(Gonna make it this Thursday?)

*grin* I forgot to tell you -- Happy Birfday!

I'm Diane de Arden living near the Barony of Delftwood in Aethelmearc.

As another spinner, weaver, and embroiderer, I've enjoyed reading your fiber arts entries. I probably found your journal either through one of the SCA communities or the spinningfiber community.

I disagree that you're more than unusually boring.
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 12:32 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Ooh, you misread. "Bored," not "boring." I leave my boringness to be evaluated by the individual, who usually ends up voting with their feet. :-)

I'm Twister from Taps... I useda sorta know Wolfieand I've met ya at cons b'fore.

tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 12:55 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Wolfie has a dealer's table this year at AC, so I'll be there a lot. Stop by with your needles and I'll see if I can help you!
tpau From: tpau Date: May 18th, 2004 12:41 pm (UTC) (base camp)
iam Cosntance in the SCA, you play with yarn and our barony, so there :)
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 12:59 pm (UTC) (base camp)
You were one of the first people I noticed knitting at an event, and then suddenly, everyone was!

How's that spinning coming?
points From: points Date: May 18th, 2004 12:44 pm (UTC) (base camp)
What am I doing here? Well, sometimes, when a man and a woman really love each other, they go to the back room and.... pray really hard to the gods of Valhalla who blesses the couple by sending them a baby which may be found on...

Err... I had a point here somewhere.
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 01:01 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Be sure to wipe up the mess and wash your hands when you're done, dear.

I am Lonnie, and I am STALKING you! Or something. :)

Doh! I just realised I haven't RSVPed to your Bridal Shower! I will be there, just gotta send the email!
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 01:03 pm (UTC) (base camp)
heh... hurry up -- you don't want to face the wrath of Gail. She make sme look like a piker. (Not really. But boy, don't try to screw her on a business deal; she'll have your guts for garters.)
platys From: platys Date: May 18th, 2004 12:54 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Hello. I am Gail, and I have an attitude problem. :)

We knew that.
waning_estrogen From: waning_estrogen Date: May 18th, 2004 01:00 pm (UTC) (base camp)
I posted hello when I added you to my reading list, but I'm here from the knitting communities. I remember someone always being very helpful, but not who it was, and as I was on dialup and couldn't keep up with those communities even if I spent 24/7 in there, I found who it was that was helpful and added you to my daily reading list. so I could remember who you were. and that's the truth.
sandthistle From: sandthistle Date: May 18th, 2004 01:10 pm (UTC) (base camp)
I have no idea who I am. None whatsoever. :)

*puts down knitting* *waves*
emmacrew From: emmacrew Date: May 18th, 2004 01:12 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Because you KNIT and SPIN and you're FUNNY and SMART and I'd like to be your evil twin.
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 01:18 pm (UTC) (base camp)
You're hired! I think we should both be evil, though. Throws people off-balance.
frostyw From: frostyw Date: May 18th, 2004 01:28 pm (UTC) (base camp)

I am me. And I am here because I met you through Lonnie and because you have my seven GBS CDs. ;) Well, I'm here because I met you through Lonnie, but the latter statement is also true. (PS - Take your time with those if you're still listening, b/c I have all the tunes in my iPod and haven't used the CDs in some time! When you're ready to return them, we should arrange another Quizno's visit or something. ;))
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 01:42 pm (UTC) (base camp)
Yeah... I really need to kick Wolfie in the pants about cutting the CDs for the wedding. It's not getting any farther away, and Things Need To Get Done!
cellio From: cellio Date: May 18th, 2004 01:38 pm (UTC) (base camp)
I'm Monica, or She'erah (who used to be Ellisif) in the SCA. I think you found me first, actually. I'm actually not a knitter (gasp!), but I did enjoy following your yurt adventures, so perhaps that will redeem me in your eyes. And, err, I could probably get a textiles-goddess in your kingdom to vouch for me as a reasonable person if you need me to. :-)
tashabear From: tashabear Date: May 18th, 2004 01:47 pm (UTC) (base camp)
lol... no, you're right, I found you first. Through alienor, I believe, though I knew of you before that, through websites and I think the EK mailing list. I do remember reading about the house that you built for Pennsic -- I'm kinda tempted to build a knock-down mini-longhouse someday.
was1 From: was1 Date: May 18th, 2004 01:44 pm (UTC) (base camp)
I met you and Wolfie through Dalia and Skorzy.
