wedding tunic update - when you don't know what to do...

wedding tunic update
Dad's tunic is almost assembled. Just need to press open a few seams, sew on the sleeves, and sew up the under arms, and I can fit him tomorrow.

Ended up having to do a hand-stitched rolled hem on the neckline -- couldn't see the point of sewing in a facing only to finish it, too. Came out really nice; I need to thank Mistress Clotilde again for teaching me an easy way to sew them.

Iron must be hot by now... I gotta get my butt to bed! Big day tomorrow!

So you just roll the hem instead of adding a facing? Cool...

Yup... needs pressing, but it should keep it from unravelling. I'll see if I can't draw diagrams of the technique I used and post them later in the week.
