I am sometimes frighteningly math-impaired. Why is it I can figure out gauges and such in knitting, but dimensions in woven fabric escape me?

Wolfie's tunic is too tight. Couldn't figure out why --- all the pieces were sized correctly. His body pieces are the same width as mine, and my smock fits beautifully. Then I realized -- the side panels on his are smaller than on mine. Duh. Someday I'll learn to do math.

So tomorrow I rip, and cut new side panels, and resew. Hopefully I'll get everything done that needs doing. I should go put the sheets in the wash right now so they'll be ready to pack.

I wouldn't be stressing like this, but we've been together three years, and his best tunic is this cotton thing he bought at a merchant. I'm sick of him having to wear sweatshirts under his tunics. I should be taking better care of him. I'm actually ashamed that I haven't made him more garb -- not that I've made myself any in the past few years, either, since I haven't had any place to work till recently, but still...

i feel: irritated irritated

Tasha, Tasha, you speak like a woman in love. :) I'm sorry the wedding attire construction is so frustrating sometimes, but you're making good progress! Go you! :)

I was actually insulted when he bought them, but it did take the pressure off. And the green one actually looks nice now that I've put some trim on it.

But he deserves better, and by golly, he shall have it. Just as soon as I read my email... :-)
