Sounds like a spam subject line... but what it really means is that I got my first order from <a href="http://www.lush.com" title="Lush" target="_blank"> today. I got two shampoos: Big and Trichomania. All their products are hand-made; apparently my pot of Big was made after I placed my order! I also got a sliver sample of Red Rooster Body Soap. They all smell pretty good, but the Trichomania in particular smells like coconut and cardboard at the moment... but it's been packed for over a week in a box, so it's not surprising. The Big smells like a margarita without the booze (lime and salt, mostly), and looks a bit like tapioca. The Red Rooster smells like citrus.

Funny thing is, I was poised to check the UPS website to the delivery schedule, and I mean poised, like I was about to go look up the tracking number, when the guy knocked on the door. Since I was also about to go get in the shower, I had a robe on, and the poor guy wouldn't even make eye contact. Job security, no doubt.

I was so excited to get the package that my hands were shaking... time to go test!

i feel: excited excited

Trichomania's good stuff--I have a chunk of it in my bathroom right now. I like to use it in conjunction with Coolaulin for the full coconut effect.

I'm trying to see if I can squeeze a trip to Boston into my schedule this week, to get some Coolaulin!

I've been to the Boston Lush store. It's nice. I was just at the DC store last weekend and spent an appalling amount of money.

The only thing about Coolaulin is that it's not quite the same consistency as store-bought conditioner (it can be a bit runnier), so it might feel like you need a lot, but you really don't.

I've been using their Slammer shower gel as shampoo lately--all their shower gels, with the exception of Skinny Dip (which is the best shower gel ever) can be used as shampoos, too. Which makes it nice for travel.

wow. those look preeety. I've walked past LUSH stores before but I could never go in - because the perfume smells made my allergies act up just by walking past the door.

Aww! That's a shame... and I'm pretty sure that the perfumes are natural, too. Then again, that might make it worse. :-( I didn't mean to be a tease!
