dang, the productivity just won't stop
So today was a really productive day.  We went to Silvermane, got boots for Wolfie and a best man's gift for his brother, then out to Clinton to help my best friend, who's moving again (he's in the Army, 5th move in 9 years) get his stuff out of his attic storage space, and then still further out to Leominster to fit hascouf for his tunic.

That was a rousing success.  It fits perfectly, and he was thrilled with the cut of the neckline.  Interestingly enough, the circumference of a Corelle cereal bowl is exactly right to make the pattern for his neck size (a 19.5" neck requires a circle approximately 6.25" in diameter).  I just spent the evening stitching down the facing I screwed up, using buttonhole stitch and bright yellow thread.  It looks awesome, even if it isn't perfectly curved around the back of the neck.  Doing hem and sleeves should be a doddle.  It even works out that I'll end up with some largish scraps, which I can use to piece in a bit on the sleeves for Brother's tunic (I cut them a skosh too short).  I alway save the big bits; you never know when they'll come in handy.

Next on the agenda is the top of Sis's dress.  I'm going up to Maine to finish her fitting and mark her hem tomorrow.  Hopefully it'll go as smoothly as Mom's final fitting did, and she'll like the shinies I made for her.

I think that Monday will be a whirlwind of finish work on everyone else's stuff, so that I can concentrate on mine on Tuesday.  Wednesday, I'm going to try to get in to Boston, and Thursday is my nail appointment and packing to go.  Friday, we go up to NH, and Saturday is showtime.  Wow.

and then still further out to Leominster

Damn - if I'd have known, we could've met up. ;D

Saturday is showtime

That really seems to have come round quick - doesn't seem any time at all since it was weeks away. Are you feeling calmer about it yet? (Or is that a bloody silly question?)

Hee! I'll be sure to let you know next time. ;-)

I'm much more relaxed, especially since I bagged the whole heraldic banner idea. We'll make banners to display at SCA events later, instead. And having hascouf's tunic fit right the first time helped immeasurably. I still have a bunch to do, but now that I have a plan for the next few days, I feel better.
