one other wedding thing I forgot to tell y'all
My aunt came up to me while I was getting ready and handed me this small, gold ring.  She told me it had been my grandmother's wedding ring and that my cousin Jason had carried it in his pocket during his wedding, and she wanted me to carry it, so Grammie would be with me.  I strung it on the top string of beads on my dress, and wore it all day.  She would have gotten a huge kick out of the proceedings; all my grandparents would.

I just wanted to share that; it was nifty.  I miss my grammie.

That's so sweet!

At my wedding I carried one of my dad's handkerchiefs and my husband wore a pair of his cufflinks so he'd kind of "be there" for the wedding (he'd passed away only 6 weeks earlier), except every time I noticed the cufflinks I'd get all teary, then wipe my eyes with the handkerchief, etc, etc...

What a neat idea! I wish I'd gotten the idea to ask for something of my grandmother's to wear during our wedding.
