knitting again... finally... - when you don't know what to do...

knitting again... finally...
I haven't knit anything since that baby gansey for my cousin-in-law's baby back in what... April?  I started a pair of socks for Wolfie the other day, and tonight I decided I was bored with DPNs, so I thought I'd try knitting on two circs.  That was kinda fun, but confusing.  Too many coils.  One of the two circs had what seemed to be an adequately long and flexible cable, so I said to myself, "what the hell?" and went for it.

Magic loop is easy!  I think I kinda like this, much as I'm hesitant to say it, staunch defender of the DPNs that I am.  Nothing will ever take their place (especially at an SCA event), but this is definitely new and different, and I can totally see myself using this method to knit while riding in the car -- no more dropped needles!

I'm loving this yarn, too... so soft and smooth, and the colorway is SO pretty.  I keep hoping that Wolfie won't like it so I can keep them for me!

Cherry Tree Hill Supersock -- 100% machine-washable, in the "Dusk" colorway. I think I mentioned it in a post from last week (Tuesday, I believe), with a link to the colorway on their website.

Looooove that Cherry Tree Hill supersock - just finished a pair in "tropical storm."

Good on ya for that 2 circs thing - I think about trying it and end up with a mobius thing going in my head...

Love that CTHSS!! Pretty, and sooo soft...

Just finished a pair in "tropical storm," but old fashioned DPNs-R-Me

I still love my DPNs, but I could feel my interest waning, and didn't want to lose momentum, so I changed it up a bit to keep it interesting. I would definitely prefer the magic loop method for knitting in the car, as it means that Wolfie would no longer have to pull over so I can crawl around on the floor looking for a lost needle.
