damn, this is fabulous
I just finished sewing together my 4-panel Viking dress.  It fits me better than any of my three panel dresses.  I'm in shock.    It's a wee bit snug, though, so I may rip a couple of seams and resew them with slightly narrower seam allowances... but dayum. I'm in lurve with this pattern!

Best part is, it's the exact same cutting pattern as my three panel dresses, but the fabric is folded in quarters the long way instead of thirds, which is a lot easier to do.  Only one panel comes out of the cutting in two pieces, and I serged that together with the scantest of seam allowances, and that middle seam goes in the center back.  All I have to do now is set the tips of the gores by hand, hem it top and bottom, attach straps, and I'm done!  Ooh... I wonder if I have bias tape for straps?  No worries; Joann isn't far, and setting straps (as long as they're pinned ahead of time) is something that can be done in the truck, on the way... after I finish hemming Wolfie's green tunic.  Or I can make the straps out of the fabric I had to trim to make the piece the right width for the pattern...

Anyway.  Dress is nearly finished, Wolfie is hunting and gathering food, and I'm in a MUCH better mood.  (I do admit the need for a PMS icon, though.)
