laurel challenge -- knit a cushion

Started plying the light grey tonight. I've got two bobbins full that need to be wound off -- there must be something about my plying technique that keeps it from winding tightly on the bobbin, but it's very annoying, because I fit so little onto one and consequently I end up with shorter than desired skeins. Oh, well; they'll knit up the same.

Once the grey roving are spun up, I'll wash it all and then get on with spinning the white BFL. I have some already on bobbins, and it should spin up fairly quickly and easily. I love that stuff!

I have to remake the chart for the cushion, as it was lost in my HD failure. I'm printing out some knitter's graph paper from http://www.tata-tatao.to/knit/matrix/e-index.html -- I SWAG*ed the gauge, so I hope it's right. It ought to be okay; the cushion needs to be a minimum of 12"x12", so if I design for 14x14, I should be all right. If for some strange reason it doesn't fit a pillow form correctly, I can always pad a smaller one out with batting.
