1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from?
I'm Anglo-Scots. We'd originally thought that my grandmother's ancestor was English, but now it seems that he moght have been Scottish. Either way, it's all the same island.

My mother is Canadian, of Anglo-Scots-Irish stock. Her family originated (on this continent) in Georgia, which was a penal colony. Her father used to say that they were transported for stealing sheep... but that was really only to tease her mother. When the Revolution broke out, they went to Canada so they could remain loyal to the Crown.

2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit?
Ooh, all of them. I've always wanted to go there. I joined the Army to see the world... and never been out of the US. Not even to Canada. :-(

3. Which would you least like to visit? Why?
Moot... I want to visit all of them.

4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage?
I really like English pub pies from Thwaite's Market... and I tell everyone what a great family I have... Other than that, not really. It's not like they have an English Heritage Day parade, like they do for the Puerto Ricans or Portuguese (or Brazilians, or Irish, or Italians...).

5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)?
I can't count that far back. Both sides of my family pre-date the American Revolution in this country/continent. I believe that someone has traced the Lewis/Lewes family back to the passage of John Lewis (sp?) on the Mayflower.

On that note... I got errands to run...
