My unit flies in the wee hours, tomorrow morning. They passed the final evaluation today. If I were still with them, tomorrow I'd be on my way to Iraq. To say that I have mixed feelings about the whole thing is an understatement. If they were any more mixed they'd be homogenized. I just hope they stay in touch with me. I want to know what happens to them.

Funny thing was, though, that because of my work at the IOC, I knew more about their flight schedule than they did (ran into a couple of people at BK tonight, though not the ones I really wanted to see). Ironic, that.

I've completed Round 60 on Rogue, and it's looking lovely. I'm so looking forward to being able to wear it! By the way, sandthistle, did/do you knit the sleeves flat or in the round? It's so tempting to knit them round, if only to save myself the pain of flat stockinette. I'm definitely planning on doing short rows on the shoulders instead of binding off, and then joining front to back with a three needle bindoff.

My new wheel should be in tomorrow. I think it might've been in today, but they weren't open, so I couldn't go pick it up. Poor me. *pout* Very excited about that. At least it'll take my mind of the 890th leaving without me.

In a way I'm not surprised by the way it shook out -- part of me never believed I'd actually be going anywhere. Guess all the juju woked, or something.

Time for a shower and bed. Night night.
