I'm looking at the algebraic version of your sock pattern, at the heel turn. On Row 2, you say to P7. Wouldn't that number depend on the number of stitches in the heel flap? Say, for example, .5x-1? I have the "heels by number" chart from the Yahoo Sockknitters group, so I'm not really terribly concerned about turning the heel, but I thought it might be confusing and possibly cause an off-center heel.

Am I right, or are there arcane mathematical whatsis that I'm not taking into account?

No, I use a standard 6-stitch width of the center of the "v" in my heel flap, whether I'm making kids' socks on 4's or adult socks on 0's. So that number is always the same, because you're slip the 1 you knit, purl the 1 you k2tog'ed, purl the 3 past the centerline, the 3 on the other side of the centerline, p2tog, and p1. Sl 1, P 7. P2tog, P1.

See? Mathematical whatsis. Thank you! *MWAH*

Hey Kathryn? Is this pattern posted somewhere? I like algebra!! ("Just fucking google it, Sand," is a totally cool response ;)
