it's a pain in the ass...
...when you're trying to make a playlist about battle and you seem to have spent too much time putting together a collection of shiny happy music.

(I figured it out, though.)

(I think.)

are you still looking for fierce music?

Sure! Whatcha got? (This is for a Battlestar Galactica fanmix, if it helps.)

I was thinking medieval, but for modern, there is some Zevon.
I am not so good with modern. hm. I will ask about.

I mention BSG more for the theme, not the time period -- I once did a fanmix for the book "The Once And Future King" using just music from the US Civil War. For this one, I'm particularly focusing on the season finale, where the Cylons caught up with the Colonial Fleet and (temporarily?) subjugated them.

Darth Vader's theme from any of the Star Wars movies...the one I use is "Empire Strikes Back". John Williams and whomever he had together for that one.

maybe... I'm looking for a theme of defiance as well as menace. Got anything like that?

Opening credit tracks for "The Patriot" (another John Williams) and "Air Force One" (Jerry Goldsmith). It works better if you've seen both movies.

Thanks, I'll take a look for them. :-)
