mostly finished new garb - when you don't know what to do...
do the next thing
mostly finished new garb
I have two new dresses to show for going nutty the past two or three days.  Most of the nutty was the red wool underdress, which is the one that was too big when I finished it yesterday.  The apron dress actually went together as easily as they ever do -- the only problems I've ever had putting them together was sewing a piece on wrong and having selvedges on the outside.  It definitely needs to be taken in, but that can be done easily enough (I need to tweak my pattern; I'm getting tired of taking a foot of width out of my apron dresses).  I have two more tunics to make for Wolfie, and then I'm done making garb for this event.

I still have to finesse and hem the sleeves and hem the bottom of the underdress, and take in and hem the top and bottom of the apron dress and attach straps.  That's not that much work.  I just wish I didn't have to spend the day at my mother-in-law's tomorrow; I have other things I'd rather do.

Anyway... pictures behind the cut.

OOOOOoooh, very nice!! I love the colors.

My friend in CA sent me home with a bunch of fabric, a whole extra suitcase full, so between that and this...I'm getting inspired. I need some new garb before GNEW, at the very least. I probably shouldn't wait until the last minute like I always do.

Woohoo! Pretties! I got some medium blue linen in a tiny windowpane check and a dark blue linen that goes with it to make another underdress and apron set, but I need to wash the fabric, and it's not a priority for Panteria. And then there's the stash... I need to go through and see what's there and what I can make out of it.

I have more plaid to make another dress for me and a tunic for Wolfie, too. Muahahaha.
