So I guess the theme of the day was "git 'er done", because Wolfie did just that.  He built a gorgeous, heavy as hell pine box that I have dubbed Big Bertha.  I primed the plywood box, and swiped on some of the bright, deep blue that we chose, just to see (it's going to be gorgeous, but will require two coats, I think).  All that, and we finally threw away the couch I brought from my apartment.  Gods only know how we got it up there in the first place; it weighs a ton.  But it frees up a lot of space in the garage, which is now occupied by Big Bertha and her littler brother.

And now, we're about to have Garlic Pork Roast Adobo from Dream Dinners, which has been marinating since Tuesday (we were going to have it Wednesday, but Mom's oven broke and then we went to a household get-together last night), with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.  One of the ear of corn is the ugliest corn I've ever seen -- somehow it reminds me of Mater, from the movie Cars.  Life is good, and I am tired... but very pleased with the day.
