I did some more sewing tonight. I need to rethink my smock pattern; it's a little on the skimpy side as far as hem width goes, and I don't have any more of that fabric, so I can't piece it, and I don't have time to run up to Fabric Fix on the off chance that they might have a couple of yards of it. It's not a huge deal; it's a smock, and as long as I'm making my aprons these days, no one will see how narrow the width is unless I show them. It's just irritating.
All that's left to do on it is the finish work on the sleeves and bottom hem, and I have to do the same thing on Wolfie's matching tunic. Neither of those should take long. Then I was thinking I might whip out an apron dress before the event, and voila, a second new outfit. I can do that if I send
darkwolfie to the laundromat for me tomorrow, which I will if it's raining and he can't make a camping bed for us (I'm not actually expecting that to happen; the weather's been awful for woodworking the last two or three days). Otherwise, the apron can wait, and I'm cool with that, though I will ask him to make a divider for the Big Bertha box, so I can see if we can fit the garb and the bedding in.
I think I'll wait till after GNEW to see if the canvas will fit in the blue plywood box, since the top still needs painting and it took three coats to cover the box. For now, though, bed.
