excuse me, mr ups guy...
...but you can get here any time now. I have several errands that I'd like to run before I have to take my beloved to the train for work tonight, and at least one of them is somewhat time sensitive. I want my stuff, and I want it today. I'm up, I'm wearing pants, and I'm ready for you to knock on the door to give me my stuff.

ETA: I have my stuff! I haven't decided if I like the new wallet (it's awfully girly), but I love the new purse. I got the chocolate brown one with the lilac purple lining, and it's got a ton of room without being too huge. Plus four zippered pockets -- gotta love that! Now I just need to remember to take it upstairs with me and hang it on the back of my door. That way it's away from a target area, plus it's handy if I need something out of it.

Now I can go run my errands. Yay!

i feel: bitchy bitchy

Tell me about it. I have my shoes for the wedding arriving on *Friday* the 13th, via UPS. If that's not an omen, I don't know what is.

....At least they didn't send them by USPS overnight to 2C Plumtree.

Well, I usually sleep through the morning with darkwolfie, but I was so tired last night I went to be early and so I'm up today, and of course today he doesn't come at 10am like he usually does.

OTOH, I did get my new headphones left in my door by the postal carrier, so i didn't have to go to the post office, so that's a good thing.

I completely blanked on the delivery of the Sothesby's auction catalogue (2003 Western Illuminated Manuscripts and Miniatures), and will wind up racing against the clock on Saturday morning from the car appointment (if all goes well) to the Norwich PO, since that was shipped by registered mail... Just like last time I ordered a Sothesby's catalogue from overseas (the one I am doing the wedding scroll based on.... the cover of that one).

This, though... well... I put a new post up about it.
I'm not holding much hope in them getting the delivery done after 4:30pm.
Maybe 10% of my packages don't get delivered correctly....

Oh, UPS is not high on my list right now. We've been having difficulties getting some of our packages, and thought it was just really bad timing (home all day except running to the laundry room or showering, and just happened to miss him, stuff like that)... until the other day I was home and was dragging stuff to the car and realized that our UPS person doesn't ever actually come inside. He parks his truck, sits there... logs several things into his little computer thing.. and then drives away. No wonder we never seem to catch him, never get the little stickie notices, and are always trekking to the UPS place to pick things up after the third delievery "attempt".

No shit... I'd so be on the phone with UPS. That's just laziness, right there. Laziness, and a complete lack of willingness to do his job.

Yeah... I think there will be at least a letter to the company in my future... it was so frustrating to realize the reason we weren't getting anything was because he was too lazy to get out of his truck... you shouldn't have to stalk the UPS guy to get packages!

Anyways, yay for getting your stuff and good luck on your errands! :-)

You're a much nicer person than I am. I'd be on 1-800-CALL-UPS, then get them to connect me to the local dispatch, and then talk to the guy's supervisor. I'm a wicked bitch about that sort of thing, though. I pay for delivery, I bloody well want my stuff DELIVERED. Me schlepping down to the UPS office is not delivery.

Its not so much being nicer... just weighing out what is going to cause less aggravation at this point (I guess that makes it being lazier? :). Since I absoultely hate making phone calls and am rarely home during the hours that the UPS truck would show up if he actually came, its less annoying for me to just write a letter and keep picking up my packages just cause I'm never home during the day. If I didn't have quite such an aversion to phones, though, I would definitely agree with you that his supervisor would be directly notified :)

Ah, see, I'm a bitch, and I'm aggressive, and I love telephones... on my terms.
