finally.
The baby sweater is finally done. Now all I have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the (wicked cute) buttons and I'm done. I'd hoped to finish this yesterday, so I could work on my class materials today, but oh well.

Stuff to do for my classes at EKU this weekend:
1. Finish writing apron dress class.
2. Make pattern worksheet for apron dress class.
3. Put together kits for spinning class (need to get some Ziploc bags for this)
4. Print out and copy handouts.
5. Figure out how I'm going to get there.

Oh Tasha, regarding your spinning class, I have a *big* question. By any chance did you teach that, or a similar class at a Carolingia Novice Scola/EKU, when Isabella was queen, perhaps around 2002?

I've taught it at the Bergental Novice Schola and at the Carolingian EKU, sometime in that time frame, yes.

Well, my goodness, we've met before GNEW then! I may still have the kit, somewhere around here. I was still more a part of the Rennfaire circuit rather than the SCA at that point. What a hoot!

lol... Yeah, after that, I kinda had to disappear for a bit. Too funny.

Can I take just the spinning class? I saw it will cost me $8 (I'm not a SCA member and not really SCAdian anyhow.)

What are the times? What do I need to bring? What exactly will you teach? (I'd say what will I learn except that could quite likely be much different from what you'll be teaching.)

$8 at the gate, $5 for the class (includes kit with spindle, roving and handout), BUT there is a class limit of 8-10. There will be sign-up sheets at the gate, so you'd be likely to know if the class is full. You'd be welcome to audit and get a handout, but I may not have a kit for you. Other than that, I'll just quote from darkeros:
Details here: http://delilah.ennui.net/~tpau/eku/eku.html

Appropriate dress would be an attempt at pre-1600AD clothing. There should be a collection of loaner clothing available, but it's very much appreciated if you make the effort.

Ah. I see. That's more clear than the EastKingdom site. It bears thinking about. What I want to learn is if it would be possible to buy aran weight 100% silk yarn and spin it down to sock yarn.

That is beyond the purview of the class. You could ask on spinningfiber, though.
