where's the other shoe?
Well, the bags of roving are ready, all 17 of them. I have a class limit of 8-10 for Saturday, but as I'm teaching this again on Sunday at Towers Project Day, I thought I might as well bag up the whole box of roving that I bought for teaching something like 3 years ago. I have another box of roving that's even finer, but I do want to save that unless I really need it. Now I just need to dig out spindles and parts -- I need to make five low-whorl spindles for children for Sunday. I should hop into the closet and dig out the box of parts and get some of that done tonight so I don't have to do it tomorrow.

After that, all I have to do is print out my handouts, make copies, mark the photos in my books, and pack garb for Saturday, and I'm ready to rock! I'm just waiting for something to go wrong...

the other shoe is....

making sure everything gets to the event. Friend of mine had everything prepared and waiting by the door. But in the hustle and bustle of fitting herself, her son and her stuff into the car, the bag with the fleeces got left behind. So, since the class was supposed to include show and tell, she had to share verbal descriptions of the fleeces... they had a good time, but it was a little surreal from all reports.

Re: the other shoe is....

That's where the packing tomorrow and Friday and the packing list comes in. Since I'm hoping to only take one bag, if I pack the materials first, then my garb on top, I should be all set.

I bagged roving tonight, found spindles and spun leaders onto all of them, and now I just need to print and copy my handouts -- and I think I might have some handouts for spinning downstairs; I'll have to go look. I could actually not freak out tomorrow about getting everything done! yay me!

Excellent! One bag is a good idea. Oh, and remember to pack your shoes.... I've forgotten mine a couple of times in the past (seriously).
