I kinda screwed up my workout this week. It didn't hurt me any; I actually think it's funny.

I've been doing the Couch to 5K Running Plan for the last couple of weeks. I found it through a podcast I discovered on iTunes, which has music and coaching to tell you when to run and when to walk. I listen to the podcast on my shuffle while I run. Idiotproof, right?

Unless you don't understand how the shuffle handles podcasts. Once you've played a podcast, the shuffle won't play it again. I discovered this on Thursday, and just went and did the run by looking at the time elapsed clock on the treadmill. I thought I'd reset it, but when I went in today I discovered... not so much. So I did the run by the clock again.

I thouught I had the requirements for the second week memorized. Apparently I failed "reading for content" the day I read the page. The interval for Week 2 is 90 seconds running, two minutes walking. I thought it was 90 seconds running, one minute walking. So I actually pushed harder than the plan called for, and possibly ran a little further, neither of which is really a bad thing. It explains why my legs hurt worse Thursday and today than on Tuesday, though.

I have the Week Three podcast all set to go this time, and one the second and third day, I think I'm going to delete it, reload it and test it before I go to the gym.
