it's the tryptophan talking...
So... another Thanksgiving has come and gone. Sunday will mark the one year anniversary of my living with Wolfie. And I finished my first sweater on Wednesday night -- it's a baby sweater for my cousin. She's not due till April, and the sweater is a bit big for an infant, but the one thing you can generally count on with babies of any species is that they grow. I'm going to give it to her at Christmas, for a couple of reasons: I'm not entirely sure I could keep track of it between now and then, and I'm just really excited to give it to her. Mostly it's the excited part, but the losing track of it thing is a valid concern.

I bought new yarn on Wednesday to start a second sweater. I already had some that I love, but I discovered in knitting the sweater for my cousin's baby that two skeins of Wool-Ease is not quite enough, and I couldn't find any more of the Blue Mist that I had. Two skeins is enough for the body, one sleeve, and part of the second sleeve. So I got more red (the color is actually "Chestnut Heather"), and the dye lot was close enough to finish the red sweater. I also got three skeins of Denim Twist, which is knitting up nicely. I'm getting quite fast at this knitting thing, and I'm dying to do socks and mittens. I also want to try doing the Haiku sweater in cotton in a some nice, funky colors.

I'm also thinking about making a Vegan Fox... there's a sale on eyelash yarn at The World in Stitches on Saturday, and I just know that my sister and aunt and cousin would love these little foxes! I want to do something with the Blue Mist Wool-Ease, too... Maybe my mom would like a hat and scarf? Sigh... like I could get that done before Christmas. Maybe the hat... sigh. So much stuff to do...

Lordy... look at the time. I'm wiped... had a "tired headache" for ages now.
