Please share something you think I should do or try to do in 2008. Big or small, silly or earth-changing.

I may do it, I may not. I'm open to ideas.

Pop a wheelie!

That one, in all honesty, I'd have to say a categorical NO to. Not only is it phenomenally unsafe, but my bike is completely unsuitable for it.

At this point, I'm still psyching myself up to get on the highway.

I wasn't being serious. I like my friends with all their limbs.

Oh, hallelujah.

(There are some amazing stunting vids on YouTube, though.)

I highly recommend this, suggested to me many years ago by a 79-year-old woman who was taking her first white-water rafting trip:

Do something every year that you've never done before.

I don't know what you have done, but some of my favorites have included:

* Hot-air ballooning
* Learning a programming language
* Auditioning for a musical (and getting cast, aiiieeeeeee!!!)
* Eating pufferfish
* Growing raspberries
* Taking tap
* Kissing someone in Times Square on New Year's Eve
* Buying a house
* Learning to knit

I'm volunteering at a major charity event, how's that?

Perfect! (One of my "something new every year" things in the mid-90s was spending three months working, gratis, for a political campaign. Grueling, but fascinating.)

I think you should learn to make a new favorite food. Find something yummy and learn to make the yummiest version of it you can find so you can bask in both the yummy and the fact that you made it!

Ooh, that's interesting. Maybe bulgogi marinade from scratch.
