Why is it impossible to find a toilet in this benighted state that has enough waste removal power to do the job in one go? Like I want to stand over the thing and flush three times to make sure everything goes where it ought.

i feel: irritated irritated

They reduced the capacity of the tanks in order to save water.

Said saving is totally negated by the need to flush several times.

That doesn't explain commercial toilets.

There was an episode of The Practice based on that. Guy was looking for a waiver so he could have a hi-flo toilet. I don't believe he won.

Gah. Yeah at this point most people I know have 2 options. Find a plumber who can salvage you a used high flow toilet or spend the extra money and shop around for a high water pressure toilet. They make ones that have compressors in them to spray the water. Hurrah for technology I guess...

I have seen low-flow toilets with so much pressure you think they're going to suck you down the hole.

This is not one of those.
