who'da thunk errands would be this much fun?
Sun was shining still when I got home from work. You know what I did.

I actually had errands to run -- I needed to send out the chaps that I ordered, as they were too big (yay too big, boo can't wear them yet), and I needed more conditioner for my trip, as well as a bottle to keep at Mom's. So I bought four, because I'm always realizing I'm out when I'm trying to scrape the last atom of conditioner out of the bottle. And I bought a loaf of bread, because darkwolfie et mine (is okay, but I still needed more). And a Diet Coke. It was
, okay? It was just there.

I had to put the saddlebags back on, and I got halfway to the UPS store before I realized that I'd left my wallet at home, which would make paying for the shipping problematic. So, shucky darn, I had to turn around and ride back. (Thank god for the tinted visor, BTW; I'd have gone blind riding past the cemeteries and into Methuen -- the sun was ahead of me and low enough in the sky that I couldn't drop my chin and bring the top edge of the eyeport of my helmet below it. The new helmet's pretty good, but I have to be sure that my earlobes don't get folded when I put it on. It gets pretty painful otherwise.)

Wallet in hand (well, pocket), I headed back out. Before I even got to Route 110, I was sweaty in my blue Cortech jacket -- and all I had underneath was a t-shirt! Love this jacket for early and late season riding. I'll let you know how it goes when it gets warmer.

It felt
. On the way back, there's a longish stretch between a stoplight and a rotary, and I just cranked on the throttle. In the grand scheme of things, I didn't go that fast, but the acceleration was made of awesome AND win. I can't wait till darkwolfie gets his carbs fixed so he can ride with me.

Okies, bed time. I'm going to take that big furry goiter of a cat from my previous post with me. :-D

Sounds like fun!

My bike is still parked, I'm hoping to get it out soonish... I'm prone to proto-frostbite in my fingertips, so I have to be careful. Also, I haven't a good place to keep it at home at the moment.

Soon. :) Have fun!

Re: Ooohh...

So... Do I actually know you? I can't tell from your user info, but we have a lot of friends in common. :-)

Re: Ooohh...

I am not actually sure. We do have a lot of friends in common, and a fair number of common interests, which is why I asked if you minded when I friended you.

I lived in Stonemarche for a long time (11 years), then moved to first to Dragonship Haven, and now technically reside in BBM, according to some. (I still get my mail in Dragonship, as that's where I work.) I was ribboned into O'Choda in 1999, at Pennsic; umm... in the SCA, I'm Aislinn.

Does that help?

Re: Ooohh...

Maybe... I don't think we've ever met in person, which is what I was wondering. No worries -- you're more than welcome! (If you didn't already know, I'm Tasha Medvedeva, of the Towers, senior apprentice to Duchess Anna Tarragon, sometime vocal herald and all-around string freak.)
