I need new grips and pegs for the bike. I only did about 100 miles today, and the last two fingers on my right hand went numb again, from the vibration. And it wasn't even 100 miles in a row!

So I'm thinking these Kuryakyn Universal ISO-Grips, and these Kuryakyn ISO-Wing Mini Boards. They won't add any width to the bike, and the stock pegs have this annoying lip on the outside edge that pokes my foot -- I find it painful after a while.

Getting both will be about $170 though. Guess I'd better start working eBay.

ETA: Found the grips for $52.95 on eBay. Since the MSRP is ~$70, and the seller offered free shipping, I was all over it. Hopefully, that'll help with the vibration. They've gotten good reviews from other Vulcan 500 owners.

Now I just need to track down those mini boards, but I need to look at the stock pegs first to see if I need adapters.

I swear, if you'd told me three years ago I'd be modding a bike like this, I'd have looked at you like you were crazy.

Okay, no I wouldn't. But still, it's kinda nutty. I mean, darkwolfie went to ride to work tonight, and I asked him which bike he was going to ride. How awesome is it that he has a choice?
