meh. - when you don't know what to do...
do the next thing
I'm better. I keep thinking that I see Max, or hear him on the stairs, but it's either nothing or Mathilde. I miss him. I wouldn't trade a minute of his time with us for anything. I'd trade quite a lot to have him back and healthy, though.

I'm going to the Kitty Angels adoption day at the PetSmart tomorrow and drown my sorrows in kittens. I feel disloyal even considering bringing a new cat into the house, but even though I love Mathilde too, she isn't a people cat, and I miss having a cat that actually wants to be with people. So I don't know if I'll find a kitty tomorrow; maybe I'll just play with the cats. Nevins Farm is just down the road, so maybe I'll find a cat there. Who knows. And if things get emotionally gnarly, I'll find a cafe, watch "Numb3rs" on my iPod and maybe sew something. Might go have dinner with a friend. I was supposed to have a class at Tandy, but I'm just not in the mood.

Plans are good. I have a plan.

All else fails, there's always the arcade.

R.I.P. Little Max.

I don't think its disloyal to go play with the kittens...and if you bring one home that's even better. You haven't replaced or forgotten Max in your heart.

Been there, done that sweetie. It's ok.

BTW, I've got 8 kittens that I'm looking for homes for. They'll be ready to go home in about 2 or 3 weeks. They're all smart and adorable.....

oh dear...I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost our cat Chelsea 2 years ago who looked very much like Max. My wife has pictures of her in her hand at just a few days old so it was devastating and my BIL came for a visit after this week he lost one of his own to a speeding car. My dear, sweet 4 yr old emoted over dinner that he remembered Chelsea (at just 2) passing on..lip trembled and his eyes welled.

I wish you the best and may you find the support you need from your friends who truly share your sorrow.

Thanks, hon. I do miss Max, but I know he's not hurting anymore. I'm kind of looking forward to having a healthy cat in the house
who's not insane

There was one little black and white boy at the Adoption Day today that I would have snatched right up, but he would have been too high-energy for Mathilde. She would have gone round the bend in an hour. I'm hoping that Jake will be available; he was really awesome.
