mas tequila!
Last night was a party at my friend D's. Many friends, much food, much hugging, many wedding planning stories. We had a blast. I was introduced to a drink called a "flirtini" that seem to involve Stoli Raz and champagne and triple sec and a bunch of fruit juices and mint. It was a little dry (I might leave out the triple sec) but tasty. Then there were the tequila shots... dang it, I'd already agreed to drive, so I only did two. (Heh... I have a brutal tolerance.) Wolfie was more physically affectionate with me than he'd ever been, putting his arm around me and hugging me... I think engagement agrees with him!

We didn't get to go to the Gore Place Sheepshearing Festival yesterday; it was yucky and raining all day and long into the night. Today, though, it's lovely and bright, and we're going over to help our friend points move into his dad's basement -- home again to Mass after a long exile in Colorado. Welcome home, sweetie!

Lessee.. what else... um... finished a sock on Tuesday... got a bunch done on the CE sock... got a copy of Alice Starmore's Tudor Roses on the way to me from Idaho. I think my purple yarn will look faboo in her Henry III design. Ooh. I hope the gauge is for Aran yarn... Oh well, if not, I'll still have a rare Starmore book in my possession with some really neat patterns. Still need to track down some black silk thread for some fingerloop braids. Blah. No good beading shops in Massachusetts.

There's a pretty decent bead shop in Harvard Square, if you're willing to drive a bit. I know they have silk thread there.

Halcyon Yarn has some nice silk in lots of colors and various weights. Not sure how fine a thread you want, but the price is pretty good.
